Every June since 1999 SGRA has hosted a Paranormal Conference in Connecticut called ParaCon. The goal of the conference is to present the latest work being conducted in the metaphysical and paranormal research fields, but more importantly, to highlight the scientific aspects of this work. The conference is the real work behind what you may see on popular TV shows.
Members of our Conference Planning Committee have already been working on developing some wonderful activities for this year's conference. Among some planned events will be a special panel featuring several experts on the 2012 mystery, psychics Barbara DeLong and Pina Martello will host a "Night of Mediumship," our special "Writer's Block" area will have authors sharing their books on various paranormal topics, and there's so much more being planned.
This year's conference is set to take place Friday, June 11 through Sunday, June 13 at the Howard Johnson Conference Center in Milford. More details will be released shortly, and the 2012 conference website will be available on April 1. Be sure to keep an eye out for more information coming soon!

June 19th and 20th will feature the First Annual Oregon Sasquatch Symposium in Eugene, Oregon.
Join us in the beautiful and cozy Willamette Valley next year as we kick off the first annual "OSS" Oregon Sasquatch Symposium in Eugene, Oregon. This event will be held at Lane Community College in the Forum Hall. Seating is limited, and tickets are sure to go fast once they are released.
The event was originally formed to unite Oregon researchers within the same venue to share information about what they have going on, basically in their own backyard. The Sasquatch phenomena is, of course, not only an Oregon experience, but given the history of this beautifully forested state, our Sasquatch is as much a part of our culture as the Douglas Fir trees that surround it.
The 19th of June will be a day when long-term witnesses and enthusiasts share their personal Sasquatch encounters at the OSS.
The 20th of June will be the day expert testimony takes front and center stage. Although not every attendee will be from our own Oregon backyard, we are still delighted to invite them into the shadows of our majestic forests. So far, all is looking fantastic as to the forecast for the 20th lineup. Maybe it is our little known saying that has got everyone so on board. "Oregon, will treat ya so many ways, your bound to love one of em!"

The 2010 Amazing Roswell UFO Festival will take place on July 1-4, 2010!
The City of Roswell invites UFO enthusiasts and skeptics alike to join in the celebration of one of the most debated incidents in history. The four-day event will feature guest speakers, authors, live entertainment, a costume contest, parade, family-friendly activities and more.
In early July, 1947, a mysterious object crashed on a ranch 30 miles north of Roswell. The Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF) issued a statement claiming to have recovered a crashed "flying disk." An article ran on the front page of the Roswell Daily Record and the next day, RAAF changed its statement to say that the object was a weather balloon, not a flying disk as they previously reported. This revised statement sparked immediate controversy and has continued to be a topic of debate more than 60 years later.

The 40th anniversary of MUFON's International UFO Symposium will be held in Denver at the Marriott Denver Tech Center from August 6th - 9th. The symposium is an annual gathering of some of the top speakers in their respective fields presenting evidence and research concerning new UFO sightings in the U.S. and Canada, the scientific search for extraterrestrial life, UFO photo analysis, and why we still struggle with full disclosure on this highly controversial subject.
The upcoming four day symposium will feature a dozen speakers including: Physicist Stanton Friedman - Pseudoscience of Anti-Ufology; Dr. Kevin Randle, Roswell researcher and author - Moving Ufology into a Scientific Arena; Ted Philips - UFO Trace/Landing Events; Dr. Bruce Maccabee - UFO Photo Investigations; and Peter Robbins - Roadblocks to Full UFO Disclosure.
The first day of the symposium, Thursday, August 6th, will provide workshops on UFO field investigator training.
